Chunky Andean Wool is a versatile and soft, single spun yarn with a good structure that keeps a good stitch definition also on larger needles. The yarn is suited for both garments and interior projects and can be knit in the round without twisting.
The wool is 100% Highland Wool which comes from a natural crossbreed between local sheep and Corriedale sheep, giving the unique elasticity, structure and color sheen to the yarn. The animals are grazing freely in the Andes more than 3000 m above sea level. The yarn is spun in Peru at a family owned and Fair Trade certified mill, ensuring good conditions for animals, people and the environment.
